This presentation was part of a conference at Bushnell University on "Faithful Engagement: Navigating Anxiety in a Polarized Election." This is a succinct, one-session summary of how I interpret the political vision of the Bible and how it's different from our modern Western political vision. Instead of scarcity, competition and rights, the Bible speaks of abundance, compassion and generosity. Instead of ordering things through the power of the state to control resources, God orders things through a community that trusts in his generosity enough to be generous and open with each other.
